7/11/2006 FriendsA friend of mine finally bought a 360 the day before yesterday, together with Cod 2. And another friend who has a 360 but haven't played it since he got it in December (blame WoW), got to his senses and bought Cod 2 aswell. So now I have some IRL friends to play with :)

6/6/2006 Finally! The Update has arrived.Yes! Thanx to Chis who wrote that the new Update was here, otherwise it might had been a whole hour before I turned on my 360 and noticed the update hehe.
I don't think I need to tell ya'll what it includes but if you don't know Haloaded wrote a good blog about it. There are a bunch of smaller fixes that I didn't know and are almost as important as the new features.
As you may have notices I haven't been blogging that much lately. It's because I have been quite busy with school and stuff. And in three days starts the Fifa World Cup so I'm not going to be around that much. Especially from June 17 - 24 when I'm in Germany watch it live!
I'm going to watch Sweden beat England, you know it Chris ;) 5/27/2006 Hitman Blood Money DemoDownloaded and tried of the Hitman Demo yesterday and while I had some problems with the controles, I liked it. Wasn't that impressed with the graphics though but it's too early to say I guess considering it being a demot. Anyhow it looks promising. 5/26/2006 Country Theme and shorter loading time for trailers.
In Major Nelson blog today he wrote about the FIFA World Cup content. I think they have a theme for each country participating in the real FIFA World Cup this summer in Germany. And then obviously Sweden has one! Here you can pre-veiw them all.
Today I changed the URL for many of the trailers in my WMP up top so they will hopefully load much faster now. Exept the last 4 they still take some time to load. Of course it still depends on your connection but now the source isn't the problem.
Let me know if you want help to get more than one trailer on to you WMP. XBL UpdateI don't think I need to tell you all what this update includes since I guess you have already read about it. If that isn't the case you can read an article here.

The option to boot into the Dashboard by default is perfect and of course background downloading. Guess we'll see how it works within a week. 5/22/2006 Driver's licenceA bit of topic today again. But I had to tell you all that I got my driver's licence today!
So now there is nottin stopping me and my friends from driving to Germany to watch the FIFA World Cup. 5/21/2006 Real army instead of BF:MCYes today I went to Stockolm (Sweden's capital city) with a friend where the Swedish army held the "Swedish Battle Camp". The purpose was to inform the public and make us young boys and girls interersted in joining the army. There you could try out night goggles, a real military flight simulator, sit in a tank and other cool stuff. I'm sorry to say I didn't do many of those things because of the long wait. But I did see the airshows and battle demonstations. There were tons of people and so much to see. Too bad it rained most of the time.

I finally had some time today to try out all the stuff I have downloaded from Marketplace.
First I tried out the new maps for COD2, of course I had to have both packages. I'm not sure what I think yet actually, I only got to play 2 vs 2 so there wasn't much action hehe.
Then I had a friend over that looves MotoGP, and especially Vaneltino Rossi. So of course he had to try the new demo for MotoGP'06, do I need to tell you he loved it? I liked it too, but it was kinda hard. After that we tried the Test Drive Unlimited Demo, and man it looks good! We did some "up hill driving" with the lambo up to the highest hill on the island, and what a view you got! Check it out :)
Then as you see, I have bought the Halo 3 pic.pack, I know everyone else got it but I'm too much of a fan not to have it hehe.
Then I wonder if you've heard the rumor that Wii will only cost 249 $ ?! If that's true I really think I will get one :) And talking about Wii, I saw this trailer for Duck Hunt 2 on ign.com, and boy does that bring back memories! I loved that game, and I think this look really nice.

Update: I didn't watch the trailer until this morning cos it took for ever to download, and I had to get some sleep. But God was it worth waiting for! :) It sent shivers down my spine!
I'm thinking of buying the Halo 3 Pic.pack, but I guess everyone will get it and then it's not as fun anymore. 5/8/2006 E3 Marketplace ContentThere is so much stuff to look forward to! I just started downloading the Test Drive Unlimited Demo, on Wednesday comes the new Map Packs for Call of Duty 2, and on Thursday MotoGP'06 Demo.

Update: I've tried the Test Drive Demo now and I liked it! I'm looking forward to trying it online when their servers get up and running. The WSVGI'm probably the only one that haven't heard about this but maby it's news for someone:

When I visited their site I noticed that the WSVG will come to Sweden!! attending Dreamhack 2006 in June, thats pretty cool! But they won't play xbox 360, only PC games. 5/4/2006 Top Spin 2 & Fifa World Cup DemosI love beeing able to try out demos from XBL Marketplace before I buy the real game. Downloaded Top Spin 2 Demo and beat my brother 2 matches in a row, thats enough for me wanting to buy it hehe. I have also started downloaded Fifa World Cup Demo, since I'm going to the real World Cup I have to try it out :) 5/3/2006 New Cod 2 Online Multiplayer maps
Activision will release numerous new onlie maps in three different packages. I'm really excited about it because I think Cod 2 is one of the best online games on Xbox Live right now. As I wrote a few days ago I even participated in a tournament in Cod 2. The first package - Bonus Map Pack will be free and contain two maps; Vossenack and Wallender, both in Germany. The second package - Skirmish Map Pack will also contain two maps: Kalach - Russia, and Beaumont-Hague - France. But this package will cost 400 points. The third package - Invasion Pack will probably come in July and cost 900 points and contain five maps: Xbox.com updateI must say I'm very pleased with the new features on xbox.com, exactly what I was waiting for!

It's creepy and curious...all at the same time. XboxVoice.com give your Xbox 360 the ability to blog all by itself. In other words, you enter your gamertag at the site, and based on what you do on Xbox Live (games played etc) Xbox360voice will automatically create a blog for your Xbox 360. Each day your Xbox 360 will blog an entry…even if you don’t game. I told you, it’s kinda scary huh? You can even subscribe to an RSS feed of your Xbox’s blog…or anyone else's Xbox that signed up for the service. Gives a new meaning to the term stalker, huh?
So, the next time you go to game and your significant other gives you ‘that look’…just let them know you need to keep your console company or it will get lonely…and point them to your console’s blog as proof.
Copied from Major Nelson's blog. 4/29/2006 Nordic Xbox LeagueThis is cool new xbox league between Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The first game to be played is Call Of Duty 2. Here in Sweden, different xbox magasines and forums will have a team and these will compete between each other. The winner will meet the winners in the other countries to get the best Nordic Xbox country (Sweden of course) ;) This league will go on for at least a year and I'm the team leader of team"gameplayer.se" ! The first game is tomorow, wish me luck!
Uppdate: We finished 4 out of 8 teams. We won all three games in group play B. Then we met the team that won the whole thing. They won with 5 p. After that we lost the Third Place match with 6 p.
It was a great first round of this league, but MS need to organize things better till next time. |
